Frozen lemons are said to improve our immune system. Additionally, they prevent the formation of cancer cells and regulate the level of cholesterol as well. The so-called frozen lemon therapy is known just for that – and it’s quite popular as well. What’s even more surprising about lemons is that, according to research, the lemon peel is actually the healthiest part of it- it has at least 10 times more vitamins that the lemon juice.. Apparently, it is usually thrown away because of its bitter taste, but it offers a lot of health benefits and can be used in a lot of different ways.
Lemons can also clean the kidneys and the liver, relieve inflammation, treat depression and stress, and strengthen our cardiovascular health. So, how can you use it to your advantage?
Put apple cider vinegar and baking soda in a bowl and add the lemons. Rinse them in the solution and freeze them overnight. In the morning, take them out of the freezer and grate them well. Don’t get rid of the husks, seeds, or the pulp – everything is important. When it’s all done, add them in trays of ice cubes and freeze them again.
You can add the frozen lemons to your soup or your drinks, eat them with bread, yogurt, fruit and much more. The ideal amount is 75 grams of frozen lemons every day.
